Design 4.0s : Business Futures
Design Service Society 2016 focused on Design 4.0s, standing for Design 4.0 Service. It showed the evolution of design in the local economy, from Design 1.0 to Design 4.0. Design 4.0s celebrates Thailand 4.0 and promotes the value creation of design for better business futures.
Initiated by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) in collaboration with Industrial Designers Society (IDS), Design Service Society 2016 introduced the evolution of design in the local economy, i.e.
Design 1.0 – design as product implementer,
Design 2.0, design as product designer,
Design 3.0, design as product innovator
Design 4.0, design as design thinker.
Design 4.0s introduces design as a business value creator
This broadens the definition of design, design is not only about designing tangible products but also about user interaction, user experience, service, and innovative solutions.

The Cell Unit is the right-brain partnership, working on brand visual identity, exhibition design, exhibition content creation, exhibition & environmental graphics, augmented reality (AR) story-telling, and all printed communication materials. Lighting integration in the exhibition was supported by L&E (Lighting & Equipment Public Company Limited).
