The CLMV market is new market opportunity for local electronic and electronic products. Understanding user behaviors, product standards, trade regulations, market data, and trade etiquette is crucial for the success of product design and development.
The Thai electrical and electronic industries have not reaped the benefits of their competitive advantages due to ASEAN Free Trade Agreements (AFTAs), the trade agreement to significantly reduce and/or exempt cross –border trade tariff. It is necessary that the industries have to add or create values to their products or services in order to increase their CLMV market expansion opportunities. Product design and development are considered as a strategic direction to provide a good solution to satisfy the CLMV customers’ requirements which share similar cultural values to Thailand.
